Powerful Tools for Caregivers classes

Over 120 local family caregivers have developed the skills needed to handle the challenges of caring for a loved one.

 

A scripted curriculum and detailed training material provide consistency and quality in all PTC classes no matter where they are located.  You will also receive a copy of The Caregiver Helpbook, developed specifically for PTC.  The book covers a range of topics, including: hiring in-home help; caring for the memory-impaired; legal and financial issues; care facility placement.

 

 

Class size is limited to eight participants, with a nominal $10 registration fee. Pre-registration is required; walk-in registration will not be available.

 

Powerful Tools for Caregivers classes are presented in West Hawaii as a collaboration between HCCN and University of Hawaii Manoa Cooperative Extension, Maui, Aging and Intergenerational Programs, with additional funding from our generous sponsors.  Mahalo!
